The composition of the teams is almost finish. The rumors around resounding changes of jacket for the drivers are lowering the tone, while those of the engines begin to rise. The Italian Rally Championship is starting and Rallye Sanremo, now in its 66th edition, has now defined its structure in every detail. The event will be staged from April 10th  to 13th , starting with the distribution of Road-Books and scrutineering and sporting checks starting from the evening of Wednesday April 10th (7.00pm to 9.00pm) for competitors registered for the Italian Rally Championship. for the others the appointment is for Thursday 11 April with the distribution of the Road Book (7.00-11.00) and sports checks (19.00-21.00) and scrutineering (12.00-21.00), Thursday is also the day of the reconnaissance of the Special Stages at scheduled times, including the Porto Sole Super Special Stage. On Friday, April 12 the racing cars will turn on the engines with Shakedown (from 8.00 to 10.00 for drivers competing for the Italian Rally Championship, from 10.00 to 12.00 for all others). The stopwatches will begin to run from 2.45 pm on Friday with the departure from the Service Park and then become a classification at 2.59 pm with the Super Special Stage of Sanremo. The rally will end on Saturday 13 April at 19.00, after two legs and ten special stages (four Friday and six Saturday) for a total distance of 486.67 km (124.26 km Friday and 362.41 Saturday) of which 152.20 timed kilometers (41.73 km on Friday and 110.47 on Saturday).

The 66th Rallye Sanremo will be valid for the Italian Rally Championship (overall, Junior, Two Wheel Drive, Italian Asphalt Rally Championship) of which it is the second round, ERT-European Rally Trophy-Alpine which is the debut race and FIA R-GT Cup which will be the third round after the world events of Monte-Carlo and Tour de Corse. Last year the winner was Paolo Andreucci-Anna Andreussi (Peugeot 208 T16) that preceded of 9 “7 Simone Campedelli-Tania Canton (Ford Fiesta R5) and of 50” 7 Umberto Scandola-Guido D’Amore (Škoda Fabia R5).
